I have a little twist on this: “All is Opportunity.”
Every moment, every dispute, every challenge is an opportunity for something — an opportunity to grow, an opportunity to experience life more deeply, an opportunity to connect, an opportunity to create something new, and an opportunity to imagine.
Our crisis is not an economic crisis. It’s a crisis of imagination!
Prior to coming to live in the United States in 2002, I had been touring the world for seven years in order to figure out what this life was all about. People always ask me: “Seven years? How did you do that?! Did you ever run out of money?” Well yes, I did. Right away. But what I never ran out of was my imagination, and it got me through all sorts of challenges, which left me with increased wisdom, peace, and tons of compassion. I traveled the world sponsored by my imagination, and I was transformed.
Our economy is going through the same kind of transformation, and it will require all of our imagination and the imagination of All. Yes, that means YOU too!
It will be an adventure. We will have to venture into uncharted territories. We may feel uncomfortable at times. But what is waiting on the other side is a new world, with restored values and people who are fully alive and who feel a direct relationship between their personal lives, the world around them, and their economy.
This is a path of initiation for Humanity at large. So get ready and buckle up!
These are times where comfort and status quo are perishing and must perish, in service to the awakening of the individual to benefit the whole. We are being called to be leaders!
These are times of individuation in service to the whole. This is the time to wean from the once reassuring security of larger entities. We are being called to full maturity of the human species, one human at a time!
These are the times where hiding behind the creations of others won’t work anymore. We are being called to become the creators we were born to be.
These are the times of communalization. We are being called together to unite.
These are the times of full participation. Millions are losing their jobs. The individual is challenged in service to the collective. The collective needs individuals who contribute their full gifts and talents. We are called to imagine!
Imagination is our most valuable asset. It is worth more than all the money in the world, because our imagination has no limits.
What can we do?
- Care for your source of imagination by:
- Taking time EVERY DAY for yourself. A time that is designated to nourishing your connection with your beautiful Self and Spirit. You know what that is for you.
- Spending time alone.
- Immersing yourself in nature at least once a week.
- Turning toward an art form such as dancing, singing, painting, and so on, to create an opening for the divine to move through you and release your creativity.
- Playing as an offering to Joyfulness.
- Create a support group designed to support your dream, your individual gifts and talents, and stimulate your imagination. You get to imagine that group, brand new. Think about what would make it fun. (If you’re interested in more information on how to do this, let me know by leaving a comment.)
- Write a list of your gifts and talents to clarify what they are and find a way to express them everyday.
- “Show up.” If you know that there is something that you need to say or do, say or do it!
- Get out of your linear thinking mind and into your heart. Start making decisions based on your gut feeling, rather than the over thinking mind.
- Find a coach or a mentor to make sure that you are living your full potential.
Ask yourself these questions:
- What is trying to emerge within me?
- What am I truly longing for?
- Where am I settling for comfort and status quo rather than acting on my dream?
- Where do I need to course correct?
- What gifts am I withholding?
- What’s next?
Trust the benevolence of our Universe, explore your Heart, trust your Self, generously give Love, commit to experiencing Joy a little more every day, be the Light that you are born to be and let it shine in your community…
All is well.
